At Community Sailing New Orleans, we believe everyone deserves access to the life-changing power of sailing—no matter their background or experience. Our ZIM 420E sailboats are the foundation of our Crew to Captain program and power practices for the Tulane University and Ursuline Academy sailing teams.
With a gift of $10,000, you can name one of these vessels and fuel five years of opportunity, growth, and adventure for hundreds of young sailors.
Your chosen name—whether in honor of yourself, a loved one, your family, a business, or a foundation—will be proudly displayed on the hull of a sailboat used by students and athletes across our region.
Your gift supports:
- A new ZIM 420E sailboat
- Complete rigging, sails, and safety gear
- Five years of maintenance and upkeep
- Access to sailing for 100+ youth and community members per boat

Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I name the boat anything I want?
We love creative and meaningful names! All names must reflect our values and mission and are subject to approval.
How long will the name remain on the boat?
Your naming rights last for five years from the boat’s launch date (August 2024). When we replace the current fleet of boats, you’ll have the option to renew your naming rights at that time.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes! Community Sailing New Orleans is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your gift is fully tax-deductible.
