After a full year of guiding, inspiring, and supporting students, educators deserve time to relax and recharge. Our School’s Out Sailing Series is a special summer program created just for the people who make learning possible.
Join us for a two-hour Learn to Sail experience on Lake Pontchartrain, where you’ll enjoy fresh breezes, scenic views, and the chance to try something new on the water. Whether you’re a teacher, administrator, paraprofessional, counselor, or support staff member, this program offers a fun and relaxing way to step away from the classroom and reconnect with the outdoors over summer break.
These sails are hands-on and beginner-friendly. Our experienced instructors will introduce you to the fundamentals of sailing, including steering, sail trimming, boat parts, and how sails work, while guiding you through a relaxed learning experience on the water. You’ll even have the opportunity to take the helm! No prior sailing experience is needed.
As a thank-you to the education community, we’re offering this program at a special rate of just $35 per person.
We are offering two dates each month throughout the summer for this special educator-only School’s Out Sailing series:
June
• June 9 | 5 PM – 7 PM
• June 23 | 5 PM – 7 PM
July
• July 7 | 5 PM – 7 PM
• July 21 | 5 PM – 7 PM
Each sailing experience lasts two hours. Participants may register for any available date.
Come learn something new, meet fellow educators, and enjoy a well-deserved break on the lake this summer!
