Who says summer camp is just for kids? By popular demand, Community Sailing New Orleans is launching our first-ever Adult Summer Camp: three days of sailing on Lake Pontchartrain and classic camp fun designed just for grown-ups.
Each day will feature a mix of sailing and camp-inspired activities like burgee-making, knot-tying contests, sailing challenges, and other lighthearted competitions that will bring out your inner camper. Camp officially runs 9:30 AM–2:30 PM, with optional “before care” starting at 9:00 AM for campers who want to arrive early, grab a cup of coffee, mingle with fellow campers, and ease into the adventures of the day.
Our Adult Summer Camp experience takes place aboard our “Big Boats”—stable keelboats that are perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a relaxed, smooth sailing experience on Lake Pontchartrain. No sailing experience is required, and our instructors will guide you through everything you need to know.
Whether you’re looking to learn something new, sharpen your sailing skills, or just spend a few fun-filled days on the water, Adult Summer Camp is your chance to play like a kid again—no permission slip required! Come reconnect with your inner camper, meet new people, and enjoy the waterfront in a relaxed, social setting. No prior sailing experience required.
